The Melvin collection, an online motorcycle auction, is currently running until the end of August 23rd, 2023, at 10 am. Mr. Melvin, the collector, has had an impressive history in the motorcycle industry. In 2004, he acquired the Indian Motorcycle factory in Gilroy, California. Over the years, he has liquidated around 45 dealerships, 11 motorcycle factories, and multiple distributors. With 63 years of riding and collecting experience, he has amassed a substantial collection of rare motorcycle artifacts, including original Indian memorabilia, parts, and artifacts from the Gilroy Indians and old Springfield Indians.

The collection also includes hundreds of motorcycle books, manuals, magazines, antique original advertisements, posters, motorcycle art, antique photos, mechanics tools, trailers, new motorcycle engines, new and antique tires (including a Clincher no-skid set), and a large assortment of rare Vincent parts, Triumph parts, and more. Additionally, there are antique motorcycle license plates and even the original manuscript to the book "My Husband My Friend" by Neile Adams McQueen, which is about Steve McQueen and his motorcycle-related endeavors.
